Domino’s Pays Mooving Tribute to Cows with Special Week-Long Offer

For National Cow Week, customers can get 50% off their pizza—on one condition.

We’re not sure National Cow Week is really a thing, but Domino’s is giving Bossy her due.

Horses get all the cool points, but where would we be as a nation without cows? These four-bellied bovines may spend most of their time chewing their cud and staring blankly at passing cars, but they also provide milk for our cheese and beef for our steaks and burgers.

This week Domino’s will be giving Bossy her due, celebrating National Cow Week (although we’re not sure that’s really a thing) with a half-off special running through Sunday, July 16. We’re just guessing here, but the promotion may be a sneaky way to beef up their online ordering sales, too.

“Domino’s love of cheese runs deep—it takes thousands of cows and dairy farmers to offer the variety of cheeses that Domino’s does,” the company said in a statement. With that in mind, the chain is offering 50% off menu-priced pizzas, but only when customers place their orders online.

“At Domino’s, we’re big fans of cows and dairy farmers,” said Domino’s spokesperson Jenny Fouracre. “Without them, we wouldn’t be able to offer all of the cheeses—from mozzarella to Parmesan, feta to provolone, American to Asiago—that we lovingly put on our pizzas day in and day out. It just seems right to celebrate our appreciation of all things dairy by giving customers half off pizza when they use Domino’s digital ordering channels.”
