Americans are divided over the election of President Trump, but Richard Baer, co-owner of Albert’s Pizza in Long Island, New York, isn’t ready to give in to the rancor and bitterness just yet. The day after Trump’s inauguration, he came up with a unique “pay-it-forward” campaign that landed him on the pages of Newsday, on CBS New York, and even on FoxNews.com. The premise: Customers and employees write an uplifting message on a pizza box, pay $15, and when the customer who most needs that particular message comes along—say, someone fighting cancer or mourning a loved one—he or she gets a free pie. And how do most winners react? By paying it forward again, of course.

Baer has just two rules for the promo. Read about them and learn more at PMQ.com.

Customers Divided Over Trump-Inspired “Border Wall Pizza”

A pizza inspired by President Trump sparked a backlash from conservatives, but business is still booming for Peace of Pizza, a food truck in Midland, Texas. Rob Jenkins’ Border Wall Pizza features a breadstick wall that splits the pie into two halves—Mexican taco on one side and chicken Cheetos on the other. When the pie landed Jenkins on a local TV station, Trump fans responded angrily, but “our business has exploded in sales,” Jenkins reports.

Arsonists torched Jenkins’ first food truck, PoBoys, in 2015. Read more here.
