Giordano’s Famous Stuffed Pizza, the Chicago-based restaurant company internationally known for its deep dish stuffed pizza pies, opens the first of several new Midwest locations today in Indianapolis. The new, full-service restaurant is located at 4110 East 82nd Street in the city’s popular Rivers Edge shopping center.
“After an in-depth review of the Midwest market, we’ve found the perfect location for our first restaurant in Indiana,” said Yorgo Koutsogiorgas, President and CEO of Giordano’s. “We will offer Indianapolis residents a new option to enjoy great Italian food, and our world famous stuffed pizza, all at very reasonable prices.”
The Indianapolis location marks Giordano’s first new restaurant to open outside the Chicagoland area since the opening of their Florida locations in 1995. The 40-year-old company currently operates 45 restaurants and also owns a 30-foot food truck that caters events throughout the Windy City.
The Indianapolis location will offer lunch, dinner, carry-out, delivery and catering options for diners.
In addition to expanding into the Indianapolis market, Giordano’s has in development several more restaurants within the Chicagoland area, as well as other cities in the Midwest, with openings scheduled throughout 2015.
Giordano’s is also nationally known and recognized for its high quality simple “click and ship” online program, which makes its famous pies available throughout the continental United States via a 2-day delivery program. “We know there is interest in opening Giordano’s restaurants throughout the U.S. and we’re constantly evaluating these opportunities,” said Koutsogiorgas. “As we celebrate 40 years in business for this great brand, we see strong growth in the years ahead.”
