Giving blood can save lives over the holiday, and Fratelli Pizza in Arizona wants to encourage customers to do their part during the holiday season.

Fratelli is offering vouchers for a free slice of pizza and a soft drink to anyone who donates blood to Vitalant in Flagstaff, Grand Canyon and Tuba City, Arizona, through Dec. 31., according to the Arizona Daily Sun.

Donors can also receive 700 “Hero in Me Vitalant” rewards points, which earns a $10 movie certificate.

The Arizona Daily Sun noted that blood donations are at their lowest in Christmastime, even though the state’s patient population is at its highest.

“We hope to encourage more blood donations while people are focused on the spirit of giving,” Sid Lewis, the senior director of donor recruitment at Vitalant’s Southwest Division, told the Daily Sun.
