In the spirit of the holidays, pizzeria operators across the nation and overseas opened their hearts and doors to those in need. Here at PMQ we were not the least bit surprised to see the outpouring of generosity from our industry.

Here are just a few examples.

More than 80 Pizza Ranch restaurants throughout the Midwest partnered with local businesses in an effort to supply more than 12,000 meals to more than 1,000 families, according to News-Press Now.

In Grand Rapids, Michigan, staff from Flo’s Pizzeria handed out pizza slices to homeless people in the area for the third year in a row, according to WZZM13.

As a thank you for all of their hard work in 2017, hospital workers in Glasgow, Scotland, enjoyed 1,000 free pizzas from Tony Macaroni’s pizza truck, according to GlasgowLive.

A tradition he began three years ago, the manager of Casey’s General Store in Des Moines, Iowa, brought pizzas to the local police station on Christmas Eve to do something nice for them in return for all they do, according to the Des Moines Register.

Local youth in Laurinburg, North Carolina, recently spent time celebrating Christmas and sharing pizza donated by Papa John’s with residents at a senior living facility, according to The Laurinburg Exchange.
