Boston Area Staple Launches One-of-a-Kind Pizza Box

Big Daddy’s Pizza Debuts Eco-friendly GreenBox™ Pizza Box Featured on ABC’s Shark Tank

BOSTON, MA – GreenBox™ of New York, NY and Big Daddy’s Pizza of Brighton, MA announced today that Big Daddy’s, a Beantown staple since 1985, has transitioned to a customized GreenBox pizza box, the “Swiss Army knife of pizza boxes” at their Boston area restaurant.

Recently spotlighted on ABC’s Shark Tank, the GreenBox is a multifunctional, ecofriendly pizza box that transforms into four sturdy plates and a compact storage container for leftovers. Dubbed the “Perfect Pizza Box” by Business Week, the GreenBox is made from 100% recycled and recyclable material and completely eliminates the need for wasteful materials like paper plates, aluminum foil, plastic wrap and more.

Situated between four major universities – Harvard, MIT, Boston University and Boston College – Big Daddy’s Pizza is a 40-seat restaurant with a neighborhood feel. Their brick oven pizza is baked crispy on fire hot bricks for an old world taste, with favorites including Mucho Meaty Pie, Cheese-a-roni and Potato Ranch and Bacon. The restaurant also offers 10 varieties of salads and over 40 different sandwich options – most of which named after Boston-area landmarks.

In addition to their 100% recycled GreenBox pizza box, Big Daddy’s uses eco-friendly napkins and napkin dispensers, serves their takeout in biodegradable cornstarch containers and actively recycles whenever possible. “The GreenBox pizza box is a perfect compliment to our focus on sustainability,” said Glenn Weinstein, Owner of Big Daddy’s. “Incorporating our signature logo alongside our custom GreenBox pizza box design is an ideal blend of tradition and forward-thinking.”

“As a well-known favorite in Boston and beyond, we are thrilled that Big Daddy’s has chosen to expand its use of eco-friendly packaging and share the GreenBox with their dedicated customer base.” said Jennifer Wright-Laracy, President and Co-Founder of GreenBox.

GreenBox™, headquartered in New York, NY, is an innovator in the environmentally friendly food packaging industry. Their patented, multi-functional GreenBox™ breaks into four plates & a storage unit for leftovers, while their Doggie Box and SliceBox offer eco-conscious alternatives to traditional food packaging. They’re a team that’s always thinking outside, and inside, the box… creating a whole new standard for the 21st century food industry.
